I Caved!
I finally gave in and agreed to let the boys do Little Athletics. We had to be there at 8:30am and it didnt finish till 1pm. It was bring a friend day so they wouldn't let me register them. I'm a bit annoyed cos that means there times don't count and Caleb came 3rd in the 800 metres. He also signed up for they relay team which means we will have to travel for him to compete. Sometimes I worry bout this child LOL he just doesn't stop. On Thursday he ran from Jyes kinder to home. I agreed cos I really didn't think he'd do it. It's about 3 - 4 kms and he ran the whole way! He then wanted to run back, I said no so he asked if he could run to school and back it's about a 5 min walk at the end of our street. He also played cricket on Friday night for 3 hrs and still got up at 7am to go to athletics. He bowled the teams first wicket and won a voucher from Apco.
Very proud of Jye yesterday for a child that is lucky to walk to the car and EVERYTHING is an effort he ran the 70m then the 100m. He is in the under 6 age group and they are so cute doing all their events. I didn't think he'd do it to be honest but he is all keen to go again next week. So we will see. Will take photos next week when I am allowed to buy them their t-shirts.

Think it's time for an update!!!
Everyone keeps asking me when am I going to update my blog. Since we were all sick and the goings on with my lovely neighbour I just haven't felt like it.
We have been back to the orthodontist to get Calebs plate mind you when we orginally went to pick it up the said they didn't like the way it had been made so they had to take another mould. We picked it up on the 29th September but I'm not confident enough to let him wear it to school yet maybe next week. At the moment he wears after school but he's not allowed to wear it playing sport, it's a bit hard when every waking minute he doing just that. He wears it at night the first couple of nights he would wake up with it in his hand!! And all weekend.
I completed all the Ready Steady Scrap Challeges at Crafting In Style. hey will announce the winner in the next couple of days. It was so interesting to see what everyone came up with using the same ingredients, all the layouts were so different.
On Saturday Sharni, Tracey and I went to Kaisercrafts new shop must say its a bit awesome so HUGE. Lots of new stuff. They are also having a 100 to 1 scrap on the 8th November a few of us are going to enter. Dont think I'll get very far but it will be fun to join in. Check out the Kaiser website for more details
Went Chandon Crafts Lend A Hand for Leuakemia crop day had a great day so cool to see all my scrapping friends there Megan, Sharni, Katy, Tracey and Jenny. I also entered the layout competion and won 3rd prize so that was pretty cool.

CISters Challenge
Crafting In Style are running a Ready Steady Scrap Challenge. It runs for 6 weeks so pop on over and have a look. This is my take on recipe 1. We had to use 1 12x12 pp, 1 12x4 pp, 1 12x2 pp, 8 Flowers, 6 Bling, 1 Journal spot, at least 2 sticker alphabets, 1 pce ribbon 12" long , 1 pce ribbon 3' long and 4 various sized photos. At first I thought my pics are to big how am I gonna fit this all on one page but it came together quite well and I really like it.
They are also having a cyber crop at 7:30 tonight I've never done a CC before so I am looking forward to it. They have been dropping hints for the last few days so i can't wait to see what they have come up with.

Pocket money
Lately I have been getting my boys to do jobs around the house for pocket money. Every day before I go and pick Caleb up from school I write the jobs I want them to do on a white board. I pay them 50c for regular jobs and 20c for feeding each of their cats. They don't always get done so I leave them there for the next night.Yesterday I decided to write a little note to say thank you and when I got home from dropping them off this morning I saw this reply from Caleb. Gotta love em! Did cheer me up cos I was yelling heaps this morning. They wont do anything while I am in the shower. So most of the time we are running late.

Orthodontist, follow up visit
We went back to orthodontist for the verdict yesterday. Caleb will eventually need braces partly because of the missing adult tooth and his lower jaw sits to far back, but for the moment he is going to wear a bionator (plate) for about 12 - 18 mths. He still has 12 baby teeth to lose. In two weeks we will go on get the mould made then the following week pick it up. He has to wear for a couple of hours after school then gradually increase the length of time he wears it untill he wears it all the time except when eating, brushing teeth and playing sport.

Dress Up day at kinder
Jyes kinder have been doing olympic themed activities for the last 2 weeks. They made olympic biscuits they had their own games and yesterday they had to dress up in an aussie theme. He knew exactly how he wanted the gel in his hair and he wouldn't take the flag in because it was my idea to buy it not his!! Don't you just love a stubborn strong willed child.

Orthodontist
Yes we are all out visit everybody lately. Went to a really nice orthodotist yesterday for Caleb. Not suprised he does need braces. Thats why we took out extras health insurance., it won't make it inexpensive but it will help. They took x-rays so they could see whats going on inside his gums. He is missing an adult tooth up there but she said it's not a bad thing because they sometimes have to remove teeth. He has 12 more teeth to lose. 1 is loose now. They also took heaps of photos. We will go back next week to find out the verdict and the price!!!!! So not looking forward to that bit. We also have to get a mouthguard made up to for when he plays footy.
Been doing lots of layouts lately trying to get through my photos but I don't seem to have made dent in them at all. Will upload some when i take some photos.

Optometrist
I took the boys to the optometrist this arvo. Caleb is long sighted and he said for me and his teacher to keep an eye out to see if he starts having trouble reading. He will only need get glasses if this happens otherwise we will go back in 2 yrs. He can read the letters on the board that is normal vision so he's fine. Jye did really well he said most of the letters and all of the numbers the guy said he was impressed.
Off to the dentist tomorrow to get a tooth pulled, hopefully I will be alright on Saturday we are having a scrap day at church with our mumsspace group. We have a lady from Kaszazz coming and Cheryl from the Kaiser outlet is coming too and has donated the prizes for the raffles.
I am working on the monocramatic challenge over at Chandon Craft. Might finish it tomorrow as long as I'm not in pain. Need to stay home as much as I can tomorrow in the warmth, I'm so over this cold weather.
